THE PROCESS OF MAKING CHIMENEAS
|

|
Skilled
artisans, with generations of experience, combine their abilities and
techniques. This is probably why clay chimeneas are handcrafted just
in one part of the world.
We are proud to be part of this ancient tradition, and joyful
to share it with you.

A mix of locally mined terracota along with gray and black clay are combined and then mixed with water. |
|
|
|
Afterwards, a paste is produced then shaped into sheets. |
|
|
Sheets are pressed in moulds. |
|
|
Moulds are put together to shape the chimeneas. |
|
|
Pots are air dried for several days till completely dry before being fired. |
|
|
Chimeneas are fired inside special kilns at about 800 degrees to harness strength and durability. |
|
|
The chimeneas are cooled off before the painting process begins. |

Painting is an exhaustive process which adds beauty and ensures the chimeneas' long lasting characteristics. |

High quality products are combined using our special recipe that oxidizing each and every one of our chimeneas. |

During the final stage of our chimeneas are sealed inside and outside to protect the clay from the damaging effects of water. |
|
|
|
Our chimeneas can be enjoyed both indoors and outdoors. |
